Hi Anne,

I wish everyone lived closeby, but they don’t. Your distance from the Triangle shouldn’t stop you from trying to put something local together in Charlotte, though. Even if those closeby didn’t go to ScienceOnline, maybe you can tell them about it and form a satellite group for the interim. Otherwise, you’re more than welcome to come hang out with us if/when you’re in the Triangle area again.

In the meantime, I’ll change the title of my post to more accurately reflect my location.

Please remember that not all NC is the Triangle. Would love to meet others, but I’m not going to drive 2.5 hours on a regular basis.

I watched it again and realized that we were too harsh on Laura. Tom played a much bigger role in what happened. If you have Netflix, it’s on there. Let me know if you get the chance to watch it.

Laura did tell Lila that she and Tom were together the night before. That was an unintentional omission on my part.

Yes, Laura still thinks Tom loves her and Tom believes he loves two women.

I do agree that Laura and Tom seem made for each other, but not for the happy movie ending reasons you usually see. They are indeed idiots, as we all are when emotions and sex are in the mix.

That really was the ending!

Well, I don’t feel that Laura was all that strong or had one iota of self-esteem because even after she found out Tom was marrying her friend she still had sex. Let’s NOT pretend it’s love they were making. I am surprised that Laura was surprised that Tom wasn’t there in the morning. Why didn’t Laura tell Lila that SHE slept with Tom last night. Does Laura still think Tom loves her?! She needs the book “He’s Just Not that Into You.” There’s a chapter titled: He’s just not that into you if he’s breaking up with you, or another chapter He’s just not that into you if he doesn’t want to marry you. Laura and Tom are made for each other – they are both idiots and deserve each other. I haven’t seen the movie and after reading your well written paper, I don’t intend to! ; – ) Was THAT really the ending or are you protecting being a spoiler alert?!

My dog completely stopped having them when I switched his dog food to NO WHEAT products.
